Actually, I don't have anything to add to the ongoing Republican kerfluffle over Barak Obama's use of a well-known phrase (which incidently has also been used by John McCain). I've just put this in to annoy "Artiefacts" who takes exception to my suggestion that women use makeup to become equal culturally to men.
To my regular readers, I promise to return to more worthwhile posting tomorrow.

I will gladly cease my expression of "annoyance" if one, just one mind you, of your 'regular readers', male or female, would concur with your assertion that the fact that "...women still want to wear makeup reflects a failure of the feminist movement in particular and the immaturity of our culture in general."
Otherwise, I have to insist that you've missed the cultural boat in a big way, just as you did with the media ecology "branding" post to the MEA listserve.
It's not really annoying as much as it is puzzling, and I really wouldn't feel compelled to comment here at all were it not for your professed association with media ecology.
